Musing of Year One at All Set Style

Today marks the end of my first year in business. Although I started working on the concept of All Set Style in November 2016, I spent 8 months building and creating. I launched it to the world on July 29, 2017. It’s wild to think I will never complete my first year of my first business again!

To 'celebrate' I have spent some time reflecting on what this year has taught me. Here are some of my musing about my first year in business:

  • I love being my own boss. I have never been much of a risk taker and never had it in my mind that I would start/run my own business, but this. This is where I'm supposed to be.

  • I love love love what I do. My passion is to help people become the best version of themselves by working through one of the barriers many of us have -how we present ourselves physically. It’s not a vanity thing, it’s a confidence thing.

  • There are an incredible amount of ups and downs in entrepreneurship. I knew there would be some, but I never expected the amount there has been. Sometimes it’s even in the same thought!

  • I have found putting myself ‘out there’ through my business has been an incredibly vulnerable process and have truly leaned on many of Brene Brown’s nuggets of wisdom to help me through. Leaning into the fear and discomfort is tremendously difficult, but extremely rewarding.

  • Having my tribe, my people I can call whether I’m up or down and they will listen and be there. This has been unbelievably important this year and I am grateful for those people.

I could go on and on, but I will leave you with those thoughts. Thank you to everyone who has been so supportive, even if it’s just liking my social media posts and reading my blog -you all matter to me and I am very grateful.

Although this post has little to do with style itself, it has everything to do with who All Set Style is. Watch for more coming this fall!
